Lessons & Clinics
"Everything you learn in-hand transfers into the saddle."
Sandy supports you and your horse by offering in-hand education along with theory, before doing any riding. In- hand we use obstacles, patterns, and exercises to build a horse's confidence and understanding of his job. Your relationship will improve, and your horse will become more supple and relaxed so when you do climb in the saddle you are both ready to learn.
Sandy teaches foundation day clinics ( 6 hours - 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon), Working Equitation clinics ( 2 hour sessions), and Private and Semi Private lessons.

Working equitation clinics
Is a new equine sport that is becoming extremely popular. There are four phases: The Dressage phase helps develop and balance a horse preparing her for the Ease of Handling phase which is navigating a horse through a number of obstacles. The speed phase tests how good your maneuverability is, how balanced your horse is, and do you have good impulsion (whoa = go), the cow phase is usually done at the higher levels.
The Details
WE lessons/clinics work on creating 'sweet spots' with obstacles. It's the 'sweet spots' that helps relax a horse's mind and emotions, so when they navigate an obstacle they can do it with more relaxation, confidence and understanding.
In a 2 hour clinic expect: In-hand exercises to help with relaxation and connection, riding exercises, creating sweet spots while learning how to navigate an obstacle and the icing on the cake, ride the course. Maximum four riders.
Auditors
Auditing is a great way to learn from others through observation.
